Centring Waiapu River, the ancestral river of Ngāti Porou — world-famous for its erosion —much of Natalie Robertson’s creative practice and research is based in Te Tai Rāwhiti, her East Coast Ngāti Porou homelands, to advance Māori counter-narratives to settler-colonialism.
